Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, the Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the sales team on a daily basis in order to promote Photon etc. and contribute to the company's growth objectives.

Tasks

  • In collaboration with the Sales and Marketing Director, ensures the follow-up of the different projects of the department;

  • Coordinates the logistics of various international conferences and events with booths;

Application scientist - Advanced materials

 


Experience 

  • Has a graduate degree in a materials science field e.g. engineering physics, physics, chemistry;
  • Has completed graduate studies or research in the field of photovoltaics or has a good knowledge of characterization methods for new solar materials;
  • Is stimulated by the achievement of sales objectives, the creation of new customer accounts and markets;
  • Is sociable, a good listener and enjoys talking with local and international researchers;
  • Is able to plan and organize his/her work by clearly establishing priorities;
  • Bilingual, both written and spoken;
  • Has a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in research and development, more specifically in the field of optics and photonics and/or in business development.
  • Experience in the industrial photovoltaic market (asset);
  • Knowledge of sales tools and processes e.g. CRM, RFP (asset);
  • Knowledge of microscopy and hyperspectral imaging (asset);

In addition to contributing directly to the company's sales, the Application Scientist is actively involved in the strategy and creation of new imaging solutions in the advanced materials field. This position reports to the Sales and Marketing department. The Application Scientist works hand in hand with the team of physicists, team leaders and designers to suggest the best possible solution to Photon etc's customers.

  • Develops and maintains a genuine collaboration with clients in order to understand their material science needs - project evaluation and quote creation;
  • Be proactive in business development to ensure technology advancement or acquisition of key accounts;
  • Monitors competition and emerging innovations;
  • Performs proof of concepts for potential clients or for the purpose of developing new applications;
  • Participates in/organizes international trade shows and trade missions;
  • Creates scientific marketing content (webinar, application note, etc.);
