This 7-hour training course is designed for Class 3B and 4 laser operators and is divided into 2 sessions of 3.5 hours, spread over 2 days. At the end of the training, participants will be able to handle lasers safely.

Lasers are increasingly used in the workplace for all kinds of applications such as material cutting, aesthetics or dermatology, surgery, metrology and many other technological and artistic sectors. This high-powered light technology can cause permanent damage to users, particularly to the eyes and skin, and in Quebec, companies that include lasers in the work environment are responsible for training their employees on the related health and safety issues (Act respecting occupational health and safety, chapter III, section II, article 51.9). 

This training offered by the CCTT-Optech addresses the fundamental principles of laser safety and provides a good understanding of the health and safety issues related to the use of laser equipment.
